Women Lie, Men Lie, Numbers Dont

Numbers don't lie and the numbers for music sales in general are severely down. Rappers that boast about sales are going to have to put it to a rest. According to music industry insider Tommy Mottola the music industry physical CD sells will only be a third of what it is now in the next three years. Record companies are starting to add extra clauses into new artist contracts that give them a piece of touring and merchandise profits, areas that use to be untouched by the companies. You can read the entire article in the New York Post story here.

ABC News Report about the Controvery on if Hip Hop is Dead

Last night ABC news this morning did report on if Hip Hop is Dead. Chief editior of XXL magazine Elliott Wilson was on the panel as he gave his version on what he thinks Nas is trying to say with his album. Surprisingly the person interviewing him seems to have some semi knowledge of the topic.

Flintstones Getting Their Puff on

I gotta say you have to love old school commercials. Things that are no way acceptable now were easy going back then. Here is a clip of Fred and Barney taking a nice drag of Winston Cigarettes.

Black Republican - Hot Rod and Papoose

This is a new joint from two of the hottest guns in the game. They did their version of the Jay Z and Nas song Black Republican. Papoose really goes off on this song. Hot Rod does good as well.

The Blow Up - Knicks Vs Nuggets

This was some bullshit from the get. I think we all know that Isiah Thomas told my man to get that hard foul. Coaches have been issuing that order since day in the NBA. When someone is trying to show you up, make them feel it. Simple as that. I actually have no problem with everything that went down on both sides except for one thing. It was a hard foul and the Knicks deserved to be stepped too. But people defending Carmelo Anthony are crazy. He went out like a girl pure and simple. You dont hit a man being held then run. I am glad the NBA came down on him the hardest. I love B More but your man went out bad on this one.

Denver Nuggets
Carmelo Anthony - 15 Games
J.R. Smith - 10 Games
Nene - 1 Game

NY Knicks
Nate Robinson - 10 Games
Mardy Collins - 6 Games(should have been at least two more, that was a cheap shot)
Jared Jeffries - 4 Games
Jerome James - 1 Game

George Karl responds

This evening George Karl responded to the accusations made by Isiah Thomas that the Nuggets were running the score up. "A Jerk" and a "Asshole" is some of the slams that he leveled towards Isiah Thomas early today. He also responded that the Knicks "never quit and that they were trying to make a comeback". There is a link to the video here.

The Re Up, New and Improved

And what I mean by new and improved is that we are actually going to start posting shit. This is a pure Hip Hop blog full of my damn opinions. I will post what the hell I want and say what I want. I am trying to set this up to be one of the top blogs out there, big ups to all the other ones already out there doing there thing.

We are going to have music, news, videos, pictures and whatever else catches my eyes that day. So there is no more talking about it, its best said in the words of Mr Reggie Noble himself
